Just for a gag I've decided to empty my pockets onto my desk
Let's see...radio, phone, some pens, a key extractor, a lifesaving Leatherman, keys, nailclippers, about fifteen bucks in change, couple packs of matches, a watch, Maglight (cause half the day is night), smokes, tire pressure gauge, nutdrivers, my wallet and a claim check. What's in your pockets? |

Today's Globe and Mail has a handy quick-start guide to some of the most vile native gangs that are spreading across the Canadian prairies. Growing up in Manitoba where it all started I watched the early formation of some of the groups and back then who would have thought that today they would be a national concern:
Indian Posse The Indian Posse was formed on the streets of Winnipeg in 1988 and quickly grew into a large street gang. In addition to the group's base in Winnipeg's north end, it has chapters in Saskatoon, Edmonton and dozens of smaller prairie towns and reserves. They trade cocaine and weapons across provincial boundaries. They will also import crews to commit violence and quickly leave town before police are aware of their presence. "The Indian Posse are still just focused on threatening violence and reputation; they haven't evolved as a gang. Native Syndicate, the same thing. Straight thugs," Detective Grant Goulet of Winnipeg police said. Members earn status in the gang by completing "missions" such as armed robberies, arsons and homicides. The first stage is an IP tattoo, followed by a more senior level known as "arm bars," a large tattoo that reads Indian on one arm and Posse on the other. Senior members will also get a shield tattooed on their neck. Manitoba Warriors Described by police as the most sophisticated of the three main gangs, the Manitoba Warriors modelled themselves after the Hells Angels with a three-piece back patch to denote levels of membership, as well as a president and a sergeant-at-arms. The Warriors are less likely than the other groups to be involved in low-level street crime, and are the smallest in terms of the number of inmates serving in correctional institutions. Their members also mark status levels by tattoos. One ex-member said the day he got a Warriors shield on his shoulder was "the most overwhelming day of [his] life." Native Syndicate This gang formed in prison in 1994 as a response to the growth of the Indian Posse and Manitoba Warriors (and later Saskatchewan and Alberta Warriors). Inmates who weren't in either of those gangs felt they needed to protect themselves and banded together. Their members are spread across the Prairies, although their strength is in Saskatchewan and parts of Northern Manitoba. "They are literally the bottom feeders. Hard-core thug criminals, high propensity for violence, mostly armed-robbery guys," Det. Goulet said. Members are marked by tattoos, starting with a distinctive NS on the web of the hand between thumb and index finger. (Globe and Mail)
They are all thugs and all are extremely dangerous because simply put they don't give a crap about anything. A friend of mine on a reserve in British Columbia can't believe some of the things that take place on this side of the mountain because of the gangs - notably because they haven't gotten over to that side yet. It is coming though as they get their guns from Ontario and Quebec and their drugs from Asian syndicates in British Columbia. |

Victory Day Russian: День Победы , Den' Pobedy marks the capitulation of Nazi Germany to the Soviet Union in the Second World War commonly referred to in the Soviet Union as the Great Patriotic War. This capitulation was signed late in the evening on May 8, 1945 (May 9 in the Moscow time zone), following the original capitulation Germany signed earlier to the joint Allied forces. The Soviet government announced the victory early on May 9 after the signing ceremony in Berlin. The May 9 Victory Day is celebrated in most of the successor states to the Soviet Union, especially in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The day is traditionally marked by ceremonial military parades with the most prominent one being traditionally held in Moscow Red Square. I had wanted to be in Moscow for the first ever, after the fall of the Soviet Union, military parade in Red Square, but due to circumstances beyond my control I am here in Peter so will have to make the best of it.

This cartoon from the Chronicle Herald newspaper was drawn by Bruce MacKinnon and is supposed to reference the wife of one of the Toronto 18 - Cheryfa MacAulay Jamal. Cheryfa MacAulay Jamal if you recall was featured in a Globe and Mail article back in 2006 titled Hateful Chatter Behind the Veil. She praises the Khadr (Canada's al-Qaeda) family and even fundraises to help Ahmed Said Khadr's widow, Maha. Cheryfa MacAulay Jamal and her friends hate Canada, hate jews, hate gays, hate fellow Muslims, and in general just hate us - but apparently this cartoon, is a possible hate crime: Her husband Qayyum Abdul Jamal was released from jail on stayed charges and she started to publicly threaten to sue the Canadian government for millions: Police in Halifax are investigating a complaint about a political cartoon that some members of a local Islamic group claim is a hate crime. The cartoon, published April 18 in the Chronicle Herald newspaper, depicts a woman in a burka holding a sign that reads, "I want millions," and she says, "I can put it towards my husband's next training camp." The cartoon by Bruce MacKinnon is a reference to Cheryfa MacAulay Jamal, a woman from Nova Scotia whose husband was arrested in 2006 in an anti-terrorism raid. Qayyum Abdul Jamal was released from jail after charges against him were stayed on April 15. Zia Khan, director of the Centre for Islamic Development in Halifax, said the cartoon goes beyond what can be considered free speech. "You would not put a native American Indian with feathers and say I need money in order to cull white people's heads. You wouldn't do that. This would be libellous," he said. Khan's group called police on April 21. He said the group also filed a complaint with the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission. Under the Criminal Code of Canada, a hate crime is committed to intimidate, harm or terrify an entire group of people to which the victim belongs. The victims are targeted for who they are, not because of anything they have done. (CBC h/t Blazing Cat Fur)
Maybe Canadians should sue Cheryfa MacAulay Jamal along with her friends and supporters for the hateful remarks she and her friends have made? May Allah crush these jews, bring them down to their kneees, humuliate them. Ya Allah make their women widows and their children orphans Let them call you a terrorist, let them make you look like a savage, but know that THIS is the filth of the earth, the uncivilised destroyer of humanity. Who cares? We hate Canada. Seem to care now that there may be a couple of bucks to be made. |

Punjabi has been an official language in British Columbia since 1994 and with the high volume growth of those of South Asian descent throughout Canada there is a growing call to have Punjabi listed as a third official language in Canada: Sadhu Binning, a professor of Punjabi at the University of B.C. says that the language has not been given enough credence and believes that there is a vast source of untapped economic opportunities B.C. can harness if its starts laying the groundwork today. "Punjabis live in 125 countries around the world. They have a lot of economic power," he said. "Yes, the South of India is the hub of business in India, but if in the next few years peace returns to the region, North India will return to its glory that it had in the older days." In order to position itself for the economic splendor that lies ahead, Binning says the time has come for the Canadian government to seriously consider making Punjabi an official language. "We feel that the demographics of Canada are changing now so the government should change the two-language policy," he said. "In B.C., the government has accepted Punjabi and we’re hoping the federal government follows suit." Currently, Canada only recognizes English and French as its two official languages. (South Asian Post)

When they are not praising the deeds or calling for the delisting of terrorist entities such as Hamas, Hezbollah, or the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine you can find the Canadian Arab Federation, the Canadian Islamic Congress and their partner in hate at the Palestinian House banging on Israel and sometimes even Jews - Canadian-Palestinians say celebrating 60 years of 'apartheid state' an insult: A group of Canadian-Palestinians say celebrating the 60th anniversary of what they call the "apartheid state" of Israel is an insult. Israel, they say, is the product of decades of ethnic cleansing. As a result, Palestinians are marking what they call Al Nakba - the catastrophe - the birth of Israel 60 years ago. They are also planning a rally at the legislature in Ontario on Saturday to remind Canadians that millions of them live as refugees or in exile. During a news conference, the group said there can be no peace in the region until those exiles are allowed to return to their homes.
Palestinians in Canada say Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who is joining celebrations marking Israel's birthday Thursday night, needs to be more even-handed in his approach to the Middle East. (CP) The 'group' are always comprised of the aforementioned imperialist Arab lobbyist organizations whose leaders misuse and abuse the scenario in Palestine for their own motives. :: A nice sum up from Powerline: "In what Middle East country do Arabs enjoy the greatest civil rights and political freedom? Algeria? Libya? Saudi Arabia? Egypt? Lebanon? Syria? The Palestinian Authoritym, either in its main branch or in Hamastan? Well, at least we're getting warm." |

Or their fellows in Windsor, Ontario? Will Canada once again be called to perform mass evacuations? Iranian backed Hezbollah is blaming the current 'civil unrest' on the United States and Israel and notes that the arms they have are not necessarily for hugging: Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah warned on Thursday that a Lebanese government crackdown on his group was tantamount to a "declaration of war" as clashes escalated between supporters of rival political factions in the deeply divided country.
Nasrallah issued his ominous statement on the second day of anti-government protests, with gunfights in several parts of the country, roads blocked and Lebanon's only international airport effectively shut down. "The decisions (of the government) are tantamount to a declaration of war and the start of a war... on behalf of the United States and Israel," a defiant Nasrallah said at a rare press conference via video link. The Lebanese government on Tuesday launched a probe into a Hezbollah communication network and reassigned the head of airport security over his alleged links to Nasrallah's powerful Shiite militant group. "Our answer to this decision is this," Nasrallah said. "We have the right to confront he who starts a war with us by defending our rights and our weapons." As the long-running political crisis threatened to spiral out of control, at least eight people were reported wounded in clashes pitting mainly Sunni Muslim supporters of the Western-backed government against Shiite followers of the Hezbollah-led opposition. (AFP)
I think they were just looking for an opportunity to escalate as Hezbollah has been occupying downtown Beirut since December 1, 2006. Backing up - Hezbollah is our protector . :: Jeha's Nail is mapping the fight. |

Photo from reuters pictures. In her first state visit to France, Governor-General Michaëlle Jean has been extolled in the media as the "almost Queen of Canada" and a symbol of successful multiculturalism - and all in this decidedly anti-monarchist country where immigration is widely seen as a problem.(G&M) |

I think what really bugs me about the case of Vancouver area 'immigration consultant' Mohammed Bassale Wanli is that with a quick google you find that there are websites devoted to exposing his scams and his crimes that go back to the mid 1980's. He left Syria and immigrated to the United States where he began a life of crime. Canada's Con Man has published his past criminal records and when Mohammed Bassale Wanli was up for another prison sentence and was slated for deportation from the US he fled to Canada and was granted refugee status. He set up shop here: A self-styled immigration consultant who has a history of defying the law has been returned to jail after his surety had second thoughts and decided to revoke the security he had put up for his release.
Mohammed Bassale Wanli, 49, was arrested on April 30 by members of the Vancouver police department's financial crimes unit and charged with nine counts of fraud. Crown counsel Mark Canofari opposed his release on grounds that he is a continuing danger to the public and represents a flight risk, but Vancouver Provincial Court judge William Kitchen decided -- for no discernible reason -- to set bail at $50,000. Within days, Wanli had persuaded a Vancouver man to post a $50,000 surety, and he was set free. Wanli is a Syrian who emigrated to the United States in the 1980s. By 1993, he had amassed six criminal convictions and was jailed multiple times for fraud, theft and false representation. U.S. authorities ordered him to put up a $10,000 bond pending a deportation hearing, but instead of appearing at the hearing, he fled to Canada. Upon entering Canada in 1999, he claimed refugee status and, despite his extensive criminal record, was granted it. This was the first missed opportunity: He should have been booted at that juncture. Wanli then established an immigration consulting business called ATO Immigration, falsely held himself out as a lawyer, and began preying on immigrants who were desperate to stay in Canada. In November 2000, the B.C. Law Society obtained an injunction to stop him from representing himself as a lawyer, but he persisted. In December 2007, a B.C. Supreme Court judge found him in contempt of that order and fined him $7,500. Meanwhile, he was busy defrauding people in his property management business. In February 2003, he was charged and convicted on four counts of fraud, handed 12 months probation, and ordered to pay $12,100 restitution. This was the second missed opportunity. In view of his criminal record in the United States and Canada, he should have been immediately deported. But he was free once again to prey upon people. And sure enough, complaints came flooding into the financial crimes unit. Police recommended dozens of charges. So far, the Crown has only approved nine, but more are expected. Despite this horrific backdrop, Judge Kitchen thought it was perfectly reasonable to grant Wanli bail. This was the third missed opportunity to keep Wanli a safe distance from society. Wanli immediately got on the phone and persuaded Donald Ruttan, who is elderly with limited education and literacy, to spring him from jail. Fortunately, in my view, Ruttan had a change of heart and revoked his bail, which had the effect of nullifying the bail order. Wanli was arrested at his home on Saturday morning and returned to jail. (Vancouver Sun)
Not only did he run ATO Immigration but also ATO Property Management Services, ATO Tracing Services, ATO Divorce Services, ATO Collection Services, ATO Process Services, and ATO Investigative Services. Mohammed Bassale Wanli has the most civil proceedings of any individual in the BC court system, has a US Federal Warrant out for his arrest, has posed as a modeling photographer to con sex out of innocent young girls, and has defrauded victims out of over 1.5 million dollars in the last 3 years. Following the trend of other cases my bet is that he will claim he will be tortured if deported to Syria and will remain in Canada indefinitely. |
